The Hendrix Jr DVRT Winter Helmet is Bern’s all-season lid built for kids who ride with confidence and don’t want to sacrifice style. With RibTech EPS foam and DVRT padding for lightweight impact protection and energy dispersion, it’s made to handle whatever the mountain throws at them. Certified for bike and snow (CPSC, EN1077B, EN1078), it easily transitions from snowy slopes to warm-weather rides. Kids love the look—parents trust the tech.

Does this helmet come with padding to convert for bike use?

Yes! The Hendrix Jr is certified for ski and bike, and while it comes with the winter knit installed; it is removable and a forehead pad is provided to put in it's place for comfy bike use or just better airflow for those late season trips to the mountain when the temps rise.

Which goggles would pair well with this helmet?

It's always best to get a measurement and compare with our sizing, but generally we'd recommend the Sawyer for the smaller faces or the S/M. We'd then jump to the B-1 (Size Medium) for the M/L sized junior helmet.

What is DVRT technology?

DVRT is Bern's proprietary energy management system. It utilizes five layers of patented sliding membranes that rotate in all directions during oblique impacts, helping to reduce rotational forces and enhance protection.

What is Compass Fit?

The Compass Fit system is a dial in the back to adjust the helmet snugly around your head. It’s quick, secure, and easy to fine-tune.

What is RibTech?

RibTech is the EPS liner, re-engineered. Those ribbed channels built into the foam? They’re designed to compress on impact — like crumple zones for your dome. Absorbing force and spreading it out so your head doesn’t take the brunt. It’s lightweight, low-profile protection that works hard without looking like it’s trying.
