    FAQs

    Youth Snow Helmets

Are any of these compatible with drop-in audio?

Yes, the Macon 2.0 Jr & Hendrix Jr have ear pads capable of adding audio chips on the exterior of them.

    What is ATSM F2040?

ASTM F2040 is a U.S. safety certification specifically for snow sports helmets. It means the helmet meets rigorous standards for protecting your head while skiing or snowboarding, including impact resistance, cold-weather durability, and secure strap retention. If a Bern helmet is labeled with ASTM F2040, you can trust it’s built to handle the demands of the mountain.

What does safety standard EN 1077B mean?

EN1077B is a European safety certification for snow helmets used in skiing and snowboarding. The “Class B” rating means the helmet covers the top and sides of the head while allowing for better ventilation and hearing—making it a popular choice for recreational riders. It still offers solid impact protection where you need it most, and any Bern helmet with this certification is approved for resort and general snow use.

Do these helmets come with goggle clips?

All of the Bern Snow Helmets come with a goggle clip pre-installed on the back. If you choose to convert for bike use and grab a light; this is the same spot a light would mount. Simply unscrew the goggle clip, and install the Diamond/Quickmount Asteroid light in this mounting location.

    Stylish & Solid

Been riding with the Macon 2.0 for a few months and it’s hands down the best helmet I’ve owned. Super comfortable, low-profile look, and I love that I can throw on the visor or light when I need it. 10/10.

    Like A Glove

The Compass Fit system is clutch. I’ve got a weirdly in-between head size and this actually fits. Doesn’t move around when I ride and looks clean with my setup.

    Light Lid

I'm usually not a helmet person but I bought the Brentwood 2.0 and I actually wear it. MIPS makes me feel better riding in the city, and it doesn’t bog me down. Appreciate it!

    Winter. Summer. Same lid.

Picked up a Watts for biking and ended up using it for snowboarding too. Swapped out the liner and boom. Comfortable, warm, and not bulky. Bern gets it.

    My kids wear them. Willingly!

The Nino and Nina helmets are a hit in our house. My kids actually want to put them on because they look cool. As a parent, I appreciate the coverage and certifications.

    My New E-Bike Helmet

The Hudson is everything I wanted in a commuter lid. Super breathable, and that rear light is a game changer for night rides. Bonus: it’s NTA 8776 certified, so I feel good riding it on my e-bike too.

    Mom Approved

I’ve gone through a few helmets with my kids, and the Nino is the first one they don’t argue about wearing. It fits well, stays put, and looks great. Total peace of mind for me, and no fuss for them.
