ZEISS Sonar is a patented technology. ZEISS Sonar lenses were designed to filter with a specific spectral curve that acts as a blue attenuator but still allows some blue light to reach the eye in order to improve vision on the snow.
Carl Zeiss Vision Lenses were developed to have one of the strongest hard-coating resins on the market that protects the lens from scratches and abrasions.
