    Replacement Goggle Lenses

    Are replacement goggle lenses available?

Yes! Bern offers replacement lenses for our B-1 adult models. It’s a cost-effective way to swap out scratched lenses or adapt your goggles to different light conditions. These lenses come in two sizes (to match goggle sizing) and are swappable attachable via our quick-change magnetic system.

What is VLT and why does it matter?

VLT stands for Visible Light Transmission, and it measures how much light passes through your goggle lens—expressed as a percentage. A low VLT (e.g., 10–20%) means the lens is darker and best for bright, sunny days. A high VLT (e.g., 50% or more) allows more light in, making it ideal for low-light, cloudy, or night riding. Choosing the right VLT helps reduce eye strain, improves contrast, and gives you the best possible visibility for the conditions. Bern offers a range of lenses to match every type of weather. Our Chromic Lenses change VLT depending on their UV exposure.

Do Bern goggles protect against UV rays?

100%. All Bern goggles—Zeiss, Chromic, Base, and Sawyer—offer full-spectrum UVA and UVB protection to keep your eyes safe at elevation. Whether you're carving in bright sun or low light, your vision stays sharp and protected.

What’s the difference between Zeiss, Chromic, and Base snow goggle lenses?

Bern’s Zeiss lenses are built in collaboration with Carl Zeiss Optics to deliver elite clarity, sharp contrast, and high-performance definition in varying light conditions. Chromic lenses automatically adapt to changing light—great for all-day riding. Base lenses offer reliable UV protection and anti-fog tech at a more accessible price point. Whether you're riding whiteout or bluebird, there’s a Bern lens for the job.

Can I wear Bern goggles over glasses (OTG-friendly)?

Bern goggles are not designed for OTG (Over-The-Glasses) use. For the best fit, we recommend using contact lenses while riding. Our goggle frames are designed to sit close to the face for optimal helmet compatibility and low-profile performance.

    Stylish & Solid

Been riding with the Macon 2.0 for a few months and it’s hands down the best helmet I’ve owned. Super comfortable, low-profile look, and I love that I can throw on the visor or light when I need it. 10/10.

    Like A Glove

The Compass Fit system is clutch. I’ve got a weirdly in-between head size and this actually fits. Doesn’t move around when I ride and looks clean with my setup.

    Light Lid

I'm usually not a helmet person but I bought the Brentwood 2.0 and I actually wear it. MIPS makes me feel better riding in the city, and it doesn’t bog me down. Appreciate it!

    Winter. Summer. Same lid.

Picked up a Watts for biking and ended up using it for snowboarding too. Swapped out the liner and boom. Comfortable, warm, and not bulky. Bern gets it.

    My kids wear them. Willingly!

The Nino and Nina helmets are a hit in our house. My kids actually want to put them on because they look cool. As a parent, I appreciate the coverage and certifications.

    My New E-Bike Helmet

The Hudson is everything I wanted in a commuter lid. Super breathable, and that rear light is a game changer for night rides. Bonus: it’s NTA 8776 certified, so I feel good riding it on my e-bike too.

    Mom Approved

I’ve gone through a few helmets with my kids, and the Nino is the first one they don’t argue about wearing. It fits well, stays put, and looks great. Total peace of mind for me, and no fuss for them.
