Business in the front, party in the back – the Hendrix is the epitome of Bern DNA We could go on and on about its innovative spoiler design, re-engineered Bern brim, and ribbed EPS liner…but we won’t. It doesn’t take a bunch of helmet nerds to tell you how rad this new lid is, so we’ll spare you the details. All we’ll say is this – the Hendrix is just plain cool.

How's the ventilation on the Hendrix?

The Hendrix rocks 14 vents, including front intake ports and a functional rear spoiler exhaust. Translation? You stay cool without overkill.

What’s the difference between the Winter Hendrix and the standard Hendrix?

The Winter Hendrix includes a cozy knit liner for cold weather and snow use along with the goggle clip pre-installed. The standard version is the warm-weather build, ready for bike season right out of the box. Think of it as the same shell; but with differing pads installed for use. The Winter Hendrix does come with summer padding also, so if you're looking to use it for the slopes and biking during the off-season this would be the package you're looking for!

Is the Winter Hendrix also certified for bike or skate use?

Yes! The Winter Hendrix is also dual-certified for summer use (CPSC and EN1078 bike & skate safety certifications) making it safe for riding year-round. From snowy slopes to city streets. Simply swap the knit out for the summer padding when desired for better ventilation and airflow.

Do these snow helmets support drop in audio?

If you see 'Drop-In Audio Compatible' in a product page, then yes. Majority of our helmets' winter knits that come pre-installed in our winter helmets have an openable pocket on the exterior of the ear cup to hold your bluetooth helmet speakers. If you're looking for a solid set check out the Outdoor Tech Audio Chips.

Is this helmet compatible with a light?

Yes, it is compatible with Bern's Diamond Helmet Light. The light easily attaches to the helmet's rear two-hole mount, enhancing visibility during night rides. (Will not comply if a goggle clip is also installed, only one can be mounted at a time.)

What is RibTech?

RibTech is the EPS liner, re-engineered. Those ribbed channels built into the foam? They’re designed to compress on impact — like crumple zones for your dome. Absorbing force and spreading it out so your head doesn’t take the brunt. It’s lightweight, low-profile protection that works hard without looking like it’s trying.

What is Mips, and why does it matter?

Mips stands for Multi-Directional Impact Protection System. It's an advanced helmet safety technology designed to reduce rotational forces to the brain during certain angled impacts. Inside a Mips-equipped helmet, a low-friction layer allows the helmet to move slightly relative to the head upon impact, helping to redirect rotational motion that could otherwise cause brain injuries.
