The Fl-1 Pave meets CPSC & EN1078 safety standards. This means its good to go on your bike trips, safe for skating and rollerblades as well.
What is the BOA fit system?
The BOA Fit System is an advanced, micro-adjustable retention system designed to give riders a custom, secure, and evenly distributed fit around the entire head. Using a lightweight dial, durable lace, and low-friction guides, the system lets you fine-tune your helmet's tightness with a single hand—on the fly and without ever having to fumble with straps or buckles. It enhances comfort, reduces pressure points, and ensures your helmet stays locked in place through every mile, bump, and sprint.
The Bern FL-1 Pavé has 18 vents, making it Bern’s most ventilated helmet—perfect for road cycling, commuting, and long rides in hot weather.
Can this be used in the winter?
We do offer a cold weather bike beanie if you'd like to cut down on the wind and keep your head warmer when biking in colder conditions.
It isn't certified for ski/snowboarding usage however. A part of meeting that certification (EN1077B) is the size of a helmet's vents (and their ability to stop debris such as twigs/branches from entering through these holes).
It does meet CPSC & EN1078 certifications making it a beast on the bike though!
