The Compass Fit System allows for precise adjustments for the fit, and the pre-installed Flip Visor provides a unique style with additional functionality. Certified to CPSC and EN1078 standards for bike and skate use, this helmet is ready for daily commutes, weekend rides, and everything in between. Also compatible with the Diamond Helmet Light for added visibility on the rear of the helmet for those late night cruises.
What is Mips, and why does it matter?
Mips stands for Multi-Directional Impact Protection System. It's an advanced helmet safety technology designed to reduce rotational forces to the brain during certain angled impacts. Inside a Mips-equipped helmet, a low-friction layer allows the helmet to move slightly relative to the head upon impact, helping to redirect rotational motion that could otherwise cause brain injuries.
Zipmold is Bern’s proprietary liquid injected tech that fuses the helmet’s shell and foam liner into one tough, low-profile piece. It means lighter weight, a sleeker fit, and no bulky mushroom look — just clean, dialed-in protection that doesn’t get in your kid’s way.
Is this helmet compatible with a light?
Yes, it is compatible with Bern's Diamond Helmet Light. The light easily attaches to the helmet's rear two-hole mount, enhancing visibility during night rides. (Will not comply if a goggle clip is also installed, only one can be mounted at a time.)
Does the Brentwood 2.0 come with a visor?
Yes it does; preinstalled in box and ready to rock. Flip it up for a unique style or down to help keep your eyes clear from the sun or rain. The color it comes with will be what it is displayed with in the product photography.
What is Compass Fit?
The Compass Fit system is a dial in the back to adjust the helmet snugly around your head. It’s quick, secure, and easy to fine-tune.
