Featuring DVRT impact-dispersing padding, 12 vents for breathable warmth, and Bern’s Compass Fit system for a secure, dialed-in feel, it’s made for all-day winter riding. The cozy winter knit liner keeps things toasty but easily pops out for spring laps or summer bike sessions, making this a true all-season helmet for growing riders.

What is RibTech?

RibTech is the EPS liner, re-engineered. Those ribbed channels built into the foam? They’re designed to compress on impact — like crumple zones for your dome. Absorbing force and spreading it out so your head doesn’t take the brunt. It’s lightweight, low-profile protection that works hard without looking like it’s trying.

What is DVRT technology?

DVRT is Bern's proprietary energy management system. It utilizes five layers of patented sliding membranes that rotate in all directions during oblique impacts, helping to reduce rotational forces and enhance protection.

Which goggles would pair well with this helmet?

It's always best to get a measurement and compare with our sizing, but generally we'd recommend the Sawyer for the smaller faces or the S/M. We'd then jump to the B-1 (Size Medium) for the M/L sized junior helmet.

What is Compass Fit?

The Compass Fit system is a dial in the back to adjust the helmet snugly around your head. It’s quick, secure, and easy to fine-tune.

Is this helmet compatible with a light?

Yes, it is compatible with Bern's Diamond Helmet Light. The light easily attaches to the helmet's rear two-hole mount, enhancing visibility during night rides. (Will not comply if a goggle clip is also installed, only one can be mounted at a time.)
