Independent Since Day One

Bern is proudly 100% independently owned. A rarity in the world of bike and snow helmets. That gives us the freedom to design with purpose, not compromise. Every helmet we create blends low-profile style with high-impact protection, built for riders who demand performance on the street and the mountain.

From urban e-bike commutes to backcountry laps, we craft gear that works hard, looks sharp, and never follows the herd. When you choose Bern, you’re supporting a brand that answers to riders, not shareholders.

I wrecked my bike last week. I was going roughly 25 mph and my front tire lost all of its air. The bike went out from underneath me. I landed on my side. I distinctly remember my head bashing into the path. The results? I recieved a broken femur, two broken ribs (that punctured my lung), and a broken wrist. My head? Perfectly fine. Zero damage.

Urban Commuter Favorite

The Bern Hudson is a low-profile helmet for urban riders. What drew us in on the Hudson was the 5 star Virginia Tech safety rating, a MIPS liner, a NTA 8776 eBike rating, and of course the rear light.

Perfect For Young Riders

The Bern Nina helmet is perfect for my daughter. She loves the design, and I love that it keeps her safe. The fit is great, and she says it's comfortable even on longer rides.

Stylish and Functional

Apart from the crash performance, the vents are something that I really liked. The Bern Watts has 11 total vents... These vents do a fantastic job of keeping the head comfortable and air circulated very well.”

This is one seriously comfortable helmet. I’ve worn it in the backcountry touring as well as heli-skiing and lapping the lifts. When I wear it touring or riding the lifts I keep the earpads attached. When I wear the helmet heli-skiing I remove the earpads so I can use earmuffs. It’s a comfortable helmet both ways.

Lightweight & Well Ventilated

Two things that Bern’s Major bike helmet does really well are the weight and airflow. Bern managed to fit a staggering 14 different vents into this helmet, far more than any other commuter helmet that I’ve used. Additionally, the Major only weighs 315 grams, making it incredibly lightweight for any helmet.

Love my new lid!

Great helmet! I took a heel side digger going way too fast on a hard packed groomer and I was really happy I had it it. The adjustment system works great to get a proper fit.
Highly recommended!!!
