Tom Knox Interview, Concrete Disciples

Tom Knox is a true iconoclast. For you kiddies out there, that means, he is a nonconformist, a rebel,a dissenter, a radical, someone who changed the game, and someone who sets trends. he just does it very modestly, and continues to do so. If you did not know, he recently opened his own martial arts studio in Visalia, CA. Tom Knox traching Jiu-Jitsu? Tom Knox the pro skater?

"I'm a second-degree black belt. In '99 I won the California state championship. In 2000 and 2001 I got the award for outstanding judoka / middle California, which means I went to all of the tournaments and then I competed with the Fresno State judo team for a while. Once I got into Jiu-Jitsu, In my weight division I've won the US national tournament 4 years in a row. I just went to the Pan-Am Championships at Cal State Dominguez a month ago, and I got 2nd, I lost in the finals by one point. That's been the biggest tournament so far, the Pan Am. Last year I got 3rd and the Pan Ams, a couple of years ago I got 2nd again. I won the Copa Pacifica in Huntington a couple of months ago" Knox

Pretty bad ass, Knox rules, check out his interview on concrete disciples

http://www.concretedisciples.com/cd_articles/cd_articles2.php?article=906

shot above is Ray Zimmerman's. Tom Knox is rad, we are stoked to have him rocking bern and not putting us in submission holds when we are late in getting him a check, or gear!

chad sharpe first hand

chad is the man, no doubt. Modest wake shred, and one of the best in the game. Bern rider Mikey Ennen got some love in this too, best FH I have seen.

Jay Peak, IFSA-through the eyes of East coast stalwart, OPKizzle

http://espn.go.com/action/freeskiing/blog?post=4159165

OPK? "Stands for One Piece Kev; always in a one piece. ... In '99, I got first place in speed and third overall at the first annual John Egan's Castle Rock comp. And I won a one piece; a nice FILA one piece. It was extremely functional, and I was a ski bum, so I wore it all the time; for like three years. And then when I got involved with Bern Helmets my team manager just started calling me OPK..."

Kev rips, if you don't think so then go try and keep up with him at his home hill. Thanks to the JPV crew, and to Jay Peak, for keeping it real in the east for skiers.

bad ass Kev! way to be brother.
